BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S001

The Bridgestone Potenza S001 is an ultra-high-performance tyre designed to be fitted to passenger cars, particularly sports coupes and sports cars. A proven performer, it delivers sports performance, comfort, good traction, and enhanced handling in wet and dry conditions.

On the outside, the Potenza S001 features a high-grip tread compound moulded into a subtly directional tread design. Its continuous centre rib and large rectangular tread blocks provide responsive handling, high-speed stability and traction on dry roads, while circumferential and lateral tread grooves pump water out from under the tyre's footprint to aid wet traction and minimize aquaplaning.

Internally, the Potenza S001 features twin steel belts reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon to stabilize the tread area and enhance handling, high-speed capability and ride quality while minimizing weight. The fabric cord body and hard rubber sidewall filler help blend uniform ride quality with steering response and lateral stability.
