Product Description

Rystix Exterior Armadek is a superior quality water based protective coating specially designed to protect and beautify outdoor wooden decks and can also be used on outdoor furniture and cabins. Armadek is an acrylic based product that forms a tough wear resistant coating on the surface of the timber and is an extremely quick drying, low odour product that is easy to apply. Exterior Armadek is not a varnish and will therefore not peel or flake if applied to clean, dry surfaces. It has an exceptionally high degree of UV resistance and special agents to prevent against dry rot, surface insect and fungal attack. Extensive field testing confirms that Timbacare performs best over a longer period of time if applied in the recommended manner. Exterior Armadek has proven capability and durability in all climatic environments. Rystix Exterior Armadek is micro-porous allowing the timber to breathe and moisture to evaporate. The standard colour shades are highly translucent accentuating the natural beauty of the timber.

Colour Range

Exterior Armadek is available in Clear and 5 standard translucent shades with a satin sheen: Clear, Oregon, Mahogany, Brown, Rosewood and Imbuia. For enhanced UV protection one of the standard colours is recommended. The Clear variant can be tinted to any required colour by the addition of universal tints.

Recommended Uses

Exterior Armadek is recommended for use on all exterior woodwork likely to be directly or indirectly exposed to harsh weather and strong sunlight. Where product lifespan is likely to be determined by physical abrasion rather than weathering (see Exterior Sealer) then the choice should be to use Exterior Armadek. This product can be used to treat most timber types (avoid coating timbers with high natural oil content such as Teak and Ipe) and application purposes include cladding, log-cabins, general outdoor wooden furniture, windows and doors, fencing, sheds and decking.
